International Symposium: “Actual issues of transplantation in the Republic of Kazakhstan”.

December 12, 2019, on the basis of the multidisciplinary hospital of Aktobe Medical Center, the opening of the International Symposium on the topic: "Actual issues of transplantation in the Republic of Kazakhstan” took place.
Organizers of the symposium: The Akimat of Aktobe region, Regional Health Department, Aktobe Medical Center. The symposium was attended by the President of the University of Tashkent, Professor Mehmet Haberal, Director of Syzganova’s NRCS B. Baimakhanov, deputy governor of Aktobe region M. Tokzhanov and medical community. The first kidney transplant in the region was performed on November 24, 2014 at the Aktobe Medical Center by a team of specialized specialists under the supervision of Academician Zh.A. Doskaliyev.



Currently, more than 60 surgical interventions for kidney and liver transplantation have been performed. It should be noted the great contribution of foreign specialists from South Korea, Turkey, Russia to the establishment of the transplantology service of the AMC and the improvement of the quality of medical care for population of the region. Over 2 years of cooperation the specialists of Bashkent University conducted 8 master classes in transplantology, endocrine surgery, oncology, otorhinolaryngology, cosmetic surgery, orthopedics.
