Center for respiratory medicine and allergology
Respiratory diseases occupy the first place in the structure of the general morbidity of the population of our country, and are also one of the leading causes of mortality and disability of the populationAllergic diseases now also have a steady upward trend and occupy a leading position in all regions of the world, including Kazakhstan, becoming a serious medical and social problem.
Along with severe forms of pneumonia requiring emergency hospitalization of patients, such diseases as bronchial asthma, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), acute bronchitis with severe obstructive syndrome, bronchiectasis, suppurative processes, polycystic lung disease, occupational lung diseases, etc. are currently being treated in various hospitals and departments of Aktobe, where there is no opportunity for an accurate in-depth diagnosis of causal factors, a full examination and consultation of specialists (allergologists, pulmonologists) is not provided, the parameters of impaired respiratory function are not determined, there is no specific allergy diagnosis, microbiological research, etc. That is, the diagnosis and treatment is carried out purely empirically.
At the same time, it is well known that these diseases are associated with changes in the human immune system, which, in turn, are affected by many damaging factors (ecology, diet and lifestyle, aggressive bacteria and viruses, uncontrolled use of drugs, etc.). Almost now there is no family where someone does not suffer from allergic diseases.
The most severe forms of allergies: reactions to drugs, anaphylactic shock, severe forms of bronchial asthma, atopic dermatitis require long-term treatment, significantly reduce the quality of life of patients and can pose a real threat to his life. In the Aktobe region the incidence of bronchial asthma is increasing annually. The number of patients with severe and moderate asthma registered in the dispensary and in need of constant basic treatment increased from 1,700 patients in 2010 to 3,536 patients in 2017.
