Cooperation of the Aktobe Medical Center and Research Institute for Cardiology and Internal Diseases (Almaty)

Within the framework of the Memorandum on cooperation with the Institute of Cardiology and Internal Diseases of Almaty, the head of the arrhythmology department of R.R.Rekvava was invited to the Aktobe Medical Centerto conduct surgical interventions in conjunction with interventional cardiologists and X-ray endovascular surgeons of our institution. Doctor R.R. Rekwava visited Aktobe Medical Center for the second time, in September 2017 he took part in the master class during the International Scientific and Practical Conference, dedicated to the 1-year activity of the medical cluster.

During the visit, on 07th of May two patients were operated, one of the interventions was performed by our doctors independently, in the second case, a master class was shown by a guest from Almaty.

The patient at the age of 71 years during two years worried about heartbeat, irregularities in the heart, the examination revealed a complex violation of the rhythm of the heart against the background of dilated cardiomyopathy, the patient underwent implantation of a single-chamber cardioverter defibrillator. Another patient, aged 51 years from 2003, is in dispensary observe for coronary heart disease, in 2010 the patient diagnosed atrial fibrillation, in 2016 crioballone isolation of the mouths of the pulmonary veins was done, since 2018 the examination revealed ventricular extrasystole. The patient underwent radiofrequency ablation of the ectopic site in the right ventricle. Currently, one of the patients with recommendations was discharged from the hospital in a satisfactory condition for further monitoring at the place of residence, the second patient’s discharge is planned the other day.
