President of Kazakhstan Tokayev K.K. spoke at the international scientific-practical conference "Public Health Protection: Policy, Science, Education, Practice in Primary Health Care", dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Alma-Ata Declaration and the 150th anniversary of the city of Aktobe. The plenary session was held on the basis of a multidisciplinary hospital of the Aktobe Medical Center.

Addressing the participants of the international conference, Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev noted that the health of the nation is the main wealth of our state. - "Aktobe Medical Center, established on the instructions of Elbasy, makes a significant contribution to the development of domestic medicine. Today, residents of the region can receive here quality services in the fields of neurosurgery, pediatric cardiology, transplantology. All areas should strive to this level. The President of Kazakhstan elaborated on measures to further modernize the healthcare infrastructure, improve the quality of medical services and medicines, increase their availability, develop domestic medical science, and also digitize the industry. - "Primary care should be as close to people as possible. Quality health services should be fully accessible to all citizens regardless of their place of residence. In addition, in the coming years it will be necessary to increase spending on public health services and primary health care to 60% total industry financing. "
