Press conference on the results of the medical cluster
On the square of the service of regional communications on May 14, 2018 it was organized a press conference with the head of the Regional Department of Health A. Kaliev. The press conference presents the results of the activities of the Aktobe medical center for 4 months of 2018.
As part of the implementation of the instruction of the Head of State, the multi-profile hospital complex «Aktyubinsk Medical Center» (hereinafter AMC) has been established and successfully functioning in our region. The total capacity of the medical center is 605 beds and 500 outpatient visits per day are planned at the level of the consulting-diagnostic center. The coordinating function is entrusted to the Regional Department ofHealth through the established Coordination Council. The core of the medical cluster is the Aktyubinsk Medical Center.
For 4 months of year 2018 at the AMC there were 8,043 treated patients, of which 5,239 were admitted in the adult hospital, 2,804 in the pediatrichospital, which is 5% more than in the same period of the last year. About 2 634 patients were hospitalized in the surgical department, of which 1 514 operations were performed in the adult hospital, and 1 120 operations were performed in the pediatric hospital.
Consultative and diagnostic assistance for 4 months of 2018 was provided to more than 10,400 patients, 57% of them were provided to the children of the region, which is 300 more than in the same period of the last year. 59 100 consulting and diagnostic services were performed.
Since the beginning of 2018, reorganization of the hospital beds was increased by 60 beds in the adult hospital (380 beds) and 13 beds in the pediatric hospital (225 beds) due to the opening of the departments: pulmonology, thoracic departments, pediatric ENT department and pediatric maxillofacial surgery.
Currently, active work is underway to implement the strategic plan for the development of the center for the next 5 years in the period from 2018 — 2022yy. On the basis of a pediatric hospital successfully operatesthe simulator center, where medical personnel of city and regional health facilities are trained. The 3Н-sorting was implemented at the level of the center’s reception center in accordance with the requirements of international standards. Admission department of a multi-purpose adult hospital is included in the pilot project of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the implementation of triage-sorting.
Within the framework of the GPP, it is planned to construction of a Diagnostic Check-up Center in conjunction with the Seoul National University Hospital, the Nuclear Medicine Center in conjunction with GE Healthcare, and the PediatricOncohematology Center, which will be housed in a three-levels building. The Center for Oncohematology will carry out a comprehensive diagnosis of oncohematological diseases: bone marrow analysis, cytological examination of spinal fluid, flow cytometry. In March 2018 German specialist Gunther Henze — pediatric oncohematologist from the famous Berlin clinic «Charite» conducted a master class with pediatricians on the topical problems of pediatric oncohematology.
Preparatory work for the passage of national and international accreditationhas begun. A primary assessment was made for compliance with JCI international standards with the involvement of specialists from the Center for Accreditation of the RCEH of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, training seminars were held with medical personnel on the implementation of international standards for the quality of care.
In practice, the implementation of activities aimed at improving the quality of medical care. The experience of the Aktobe medical center can be considered a launching pad for the development and amendment of the current regulatory and legal framework.
