“Master Class on Improving Activities of reception department of Aktobe Medical Center ".

On February 6-7, 2019 on the basis of the multi-disciplinary hospital of the Aktobe Medical Center, RSE specialists at the Republican Center for Air Ambulance of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a master class to assess the organization of the work of the inpatient departments of hospitals with the participation of Kevin Frick, the international expert group on emergency medical care.

This event was held in the framework of the execution of the protocol commission of the meeting chaired by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan E.A. Birtanov "To improve the activities of the reception departments of medical organizations that provide inpatient care in the Republic of Kazakhstan."

In the course of the master class, substantial lectures by Nurzhan Kurmangalievich Otarbayev, Director of the RCSA, Kevin Frick, Chairman of the International Emergency Medical Care Expert Group, and Bulat Kurushevich, the mobile team of the RCSA Taybekov Bulat Kurushevich, were heard with great interest.

The theme of the master class was to create an effective system for sorting emergency patients at the emergency department level. It should be noted that the TRIAGE-system will ensure the implementation of standards for managing the quality and safety of medical activity based on the use of quality management principles and lean production technologies in an emergency department.

As part of the training, RCSA specialists assessed processes and procedures in the daily practice of the emergency department of a multidisciplinary hospital, and also gave practical recommendations for improving the organization of reception and distribution of emergency patients.

Listeners, including doctors and nurses of the emergency departments of the adult and pediatric hospitals of the Aktobe Medical Center, actively discussed topical issues of sorting patients with emergency conditions, delivered by ambulance and applying independently to the emergency department, and also conducted a joint analysis of internal control processes performing procedures at all stages of emergency assistance. Upon completion of the master class, participants were issued certificates.

This training will improve the quality and safety of emergency medical care, ensure the rational use of available resources. In this case, the expected result of the practical use of the knowledge gained is an increase in the degree of citizens' satisfaction with the quality of medical care provided in the reception departments of our center.
